Auctioncentre.com.au brings together over 25 years of hands-on experience in the sales, auction, tender, retail and IT industries. This experience and a cooling off period of up to 7 days on goods purchased, truly makes Auctioncentre.com.au "The Safe Site" for buyers looking for something special in a convenient, safe and competitive environment.
The Auctioncentre.com.au cooling off period for items purchased at sales, auction or tender is a key factor for buyer's confidence. A buyer knows that the item purchased is as it was described or their payment is returned. Unlike other internet auction sites, a seller cannot auction goods on the site until they have proven that they can meet our strict requirements in relation to quality and service.
Auctioncentre.com.au was originally designed for the Agricultural Industries to cost effectively reach a National audience. More information can be made available to the buying public through our website, along with nine photographs of each machine as well as providing mechanical history (appraisal) including oil samples (if applicable) and OH & S reports. This information assists buyers to make an informed decision during the bidding process and when considering a purchase.
Auctioncentre.com.au has now expanded its scope into many new markets such as Real Estate, Vehicles and Antiques to name a few. Auctioncentre.com.au uses industry experts to help design and run our facilities to maximize the user experience. We are always looking for new products to sell on our site. If you believe you have stock of any type that would benefit from a national audience, please contact us.
- No requirement to move the item being offered for auction.
- The vendor can continue to use the item up until a predetermined date.
- The 7 day cooling off period provides the buyers with sufficient time to view the item even after it is purchased with the confidence that if the item is not as described he can withdraw from the sale, with the deposit refunded in full, confirming the Auctioncentre.com.au reputation of being a very "Safe Site". Should you wish to change this policy for your specific auction, tender or sale we would need to notify the buying public through our terms and conditions identifying the fact that the seven-day cooling off period did not apply to your particular sale.
- Items offered can be on the basis on "No Buyers premium".
- Items can be offered with a buyers premium.
- Items can be offered on a reserved basis.
- Items can be offered on an unreserved basis.
- Along with setting Reserves the Vendor should have an input into setting the Minimum Bid giving the vendor more control over the auction than the traditional method where the Auctioneer usually makes a decision on-the-fly.

The "For Auction" sales method is the same as a traditional auction. The item will be sold to the highest bidder as long as the bid has reached the vendors reserve. The vender in Auctioncentre.com.au has the ability to set up one item for auction, through to as many auction items as required. The vender can also set up a date and time of auction to coincide with a Marketing Proposal targeting the required audience. The closing times for each item can be set at regular intervals, enabling the vendors to view each item as it is closing. This allows time for Vendors to consult and alter reserves if they wish if they are using an averaging system.
The "For Tender" sales method is a silent auction. This means that bids are taken in private of each other and the vendor can accept any of these offers after the closing time. Auctioncentre.com.au is designed to enable the vendor to have their specific Tender Documents saved as a PDF against each item. This enables the vendor to customize their documentation where required for each individual item if need be.
The "For Sale" area in auctioncentre.com .au is interactive enabling the buyer to submit offers to our vendors for consideration.
Success is based upon your organisation providing good quality photos of each item, detailed and accurate information (an appraisal) on each item offered for sale, and, where required, item history and an accurate and honest assessment (risk assessment) report.
Buyer enquiry can be handled by you, your organisation's staff members and/or Auctioncentre.com.au staff. However regardless of who handles the enquiries prices should not be given out for auction items even when representatives are under pressure from a buyer.
Train vendors staff how to handle auction enquiry for bidding on the web.
Assist the vendor with the upload of all material supplied by the vendor including nine photos, appraisal forms and risk assessment forms on each item offered for auction.
Assist in co-ordinating the marketing program if required.
Assist bidders with registration and bidding when required.
Negotiate and follow up losing bidders and under bidders.
Collect the payment into our trust account and account to the vendor on completion of sale.
An e-brochure will be supplied by Auctioncentre.com.au to be sent to all clients in your database.
By listing your items onto Auctioncentre.com.au, you are advertising your goods to a national and international audience. We will also send out e-brochures to our extensive user database as well as giving the vender the option to send the same e-brochure to their own client databases. Auctioncentre.com.au advertises in a variety of mediums (television, papers, magazines, mail etc) depending on the vendors target market. We will customize an advertising plan with you to suit your market.
