Selling Methods

For Auction:

The "For Auction" sales method is the same as a traditional auction. The item will be sold to the highest bidder as long as the bid has reached the vendors reserve. The vender in has the ability to set up one item for auction, through to as many auction items as required. The vender can also set up a date and time of auction to coincide with a Marketing Proposal targeting the required audience. The closing times for each item can be set at regular intervals, enabling the vendors to view each item as it is closing. This allows time for Vendors to consult and alter reserves if they wish if they are using an averaging system.

For Tender:

The "For Tender" sales method is a silent auction. This means that bids are taken in private of each other and the vendor can accept any of these offers after the closing time. is designed to enable the vendor to have their specific Tender Documents saved as a PDF against each item. This enables the vendor to customize their documentation where required for each individual item if need be.

For Sale:

The "For Sale" area in .au is interactive enabling the buyer to submit offers to our vendors for consideration.


Success is based upon your organisation providing good quality photos of each item, detailed and accurate information (an appraisal) on each item offered for sale, and, where required, item history and an accurate and honest assessment (risk assessment) report.

Buyer enquiry can be handled by you, your organisation's staff members and/or staff. However regardless of who handles the enquiries prices should not be given out for auction items even when representatives are under pressure from a buyer. will:

Train vendors staff how to handle auction enquiry for bidding on the web.

Assist the vendor with the upload of all material supplied by the vendor including nine photos, appraisal forms and risk assessment forms on each item offered for auction.

Assist in co-ordinating the marketing program if required.

Assist bidders with registration and bidding when required.

Negotiate and follow up losing bidders and under bidders.

Collect the payment into our trust account and account to the vendor on completion of sale.

By listing your items onto, you are advertising your goods to a national and international audience. We will also send out e-brochures to our extensive user database as well as giving the vender the option to send the same e-brochure to their own client databases. advertises in a variety of mediums (television, papers, magazines, mail etc) depending on the vendors target market.
